Ginger Tea

I'm was really feeling sick and put a post out for recommendations on SAC (Subtle Asian Cooking) and was given a ginger tea recipe (Charles Wang) and it was super good. Ended up making approx 600ml (so 2 mugs) and I do feel it helped a lot and preserving this recipe!


INGREDIENTS

80g ginger

64g brown sugar

800ml water


METHOD

Clean ginger


Crush ginger (OP Charles Wang uses plastic bag, but I try to avoid plastic waste so I cut and crush on chopping board)

Dry fry in non stick saucepan (10mins)

Boil water 

Transfer ginger into pot

Add water and sugar

Mix and boil (15mins)


Strain mixture and serve
